Here is a brief overview of what to expect from working with West Pacific

Initial Consultation

Our first meeting will take place at your home where our on-site project manager will learn exactly what you are looking to accompolish in your home.  We'll happily tall all of the information you can provide, OR you can let us know you don't know where to begin.  Either way, we'll get you off to a good start.  Having an idea of your preferred budget will  help tremendously.

Contract and Planning

It's time to get going!  Your PM will review the contract you and answer any questions.  Your PM will review a basic timeline for the reamining steps of the process leading up to the start of construction and provide you with additional information for you to review in order to best help you prepare for your project.

Follow Up Consultation

It is likely that the initial consultation will have created more questions than answers for both of us.  In our follow up consultation we will address those items and make sure we have all of the information we need to provide you with a proposal for your project.  This meeting is typically done either phone or video conference, but occassionally at your home.

Design Consultation(s)

Now the real fun starts.  Now that we're clear on the scope of the project, our designers jump in.  If it is a part of the project, our structrual designer will begin working on creating plans for the required permits.  Meanwhile, you will sit down with the interior designer to start working though the look of the inside of your project.  This includes beginning to select finishes.

Project Proposal

This is where things start to come together.  At this meeting your Project Manager will present you with an overview of the proposed project and estimated cost range.  You and your PM will review the proposal and go over any remaining questions.  The goal is to leave you with all of the information you need to decide if you are ready to move forward with your project.

Design Follow up

Since the design consultation meeting, you and the interior designer have been reviewing options and making decisions.  Now all the decisions have been made and it's time to make it offical.  The interior designer will sit down with you to cofirm your selections so that we're ready to start ordering right away.

Plan approval and Construction timeline.

If your project does not include structural work to be approved by the local building division, it is possible that this step will take place at the same time as the previsous Plan Review meeting.  At this time we will review the project plan and go over the projected construction start date and timeline.  This is also when your PM will discuss final steps you need to take to prepare for construction.

Construction Begins

It's time to get started!

Today is the day the first phase of your construction begins.  In most cases this is demolition on the home but it may also start with site preparation including tree/landscape removal, site access and utility preparation.

In any event, this is when things get really exciting and you get to watch the plan start coming together.  From here we work through the phases of construction as oulined in your Construction timeline.
